The place

The restaurant

On the Quai Miredames, the restaurant offers a beautiful terrace overlooking the Agoût River during the sunny days. Located just a stone’s throw from the tanneries houses and the historic center of Castres, which houses the fabulous Goya Museum and that of Jean Jaurès (a famous figure from the city), the place is ideal for dining away from the crowds. The interior decor, designed by Flora Itié (a local designer), with a reminder of the splendid view drawn by the illustrator Blue Millenium, welcomes you in a cozy atmosphere. With its open kitchen, the Chef cooks in front of you (the table near the Chef is often the first to be booked). A guarantee of quality and especially for the pleasure of exchanging, the Chef especially likes the winter period when the warm atmosphere of the restaurant becomes more friendly. The expansion of the restaurant now offers around fifty indoor seats and thirty on the terrace. Themed menus throughout the year are offered and you often find the same regulars who have become friends of the Amélie Mélo over the years.
